Contractor resource / issued estimate CSVs

Using an issued estimate line-item CSV

Use the line-item CSV for one issued estimate revision to reconcile estimate rows with a flooring tender. This public guide explains how to find the right file and what its fields mean; it does not include or expose any request-specific information.

01 / Find the file

Download the CSV from the matching issued estimate

  1. 01

Open the private Request status link from the acknowledgement email for your request.

  2. 02

Find Issued estimate history. Each entry identifies a revision and its issue date, and shows the total for that issued estimate.

  3. 03

Match the history entry to the tender’s issue date and revision. In that same entry, select Download line items CSV.

02 / Request-specific access

The guide is public; each CSV is private to an issued request

Anyone can read this general guide without signing in. It does not contain estimate rows or a request-specific download. To get a CSV, use the private, request-specific status link and choose one publication from that request’s issued estimate history.

A download is available only when that one selected publication belongs to the same request and is completed, approved, sent and backed by a valid published estimate snapshot. A missing, malformed, repeated or unknown selection, or one for a draft, unissued or different request, returns an empty 404 response.

03 / Field guide

Read the seven headers in this order

The seven columns below are in export order. The export puts measured estimate lines first, then scope lines.

line_type
Either measured or scope. Measured rows come from measured estimate lines and precede saved scope rows.
description
For measured rows, the line label and optional detail are combined with an em dash. For scope rows, this is the saved scope description.
quantity
The quantity recorded for the row. It is blank when no quantity is available.
unit
The row unit. Read it together with quantity when comparing measurements.
amount_gbp
The row amount in pounds, formatted to two decimal places. This is the line amount, not a unit rate; it is blank when no amount is available.
provisional
Measured rows are false. Scope rows reflect the saved provisional flag; if no flag was saved, the value is false.
provisional_reason
The optional reason saved for a scope row. This cell is blank when no reason was recorded.

04 / Missing values and provisional scope

Treat blank cells as unavailable information

Quantity and amount cells are blank when those values are unavailable. The reason cell is blank when no provisional reason was recorded. A blank is not zero, and it does not confirm that scope is included. Measured rows haveprovisional=false; scope rows reflect the saved provisional flag and any recorded reason.

05 / Tender review

Reconcile rows before you finalise the bid

  1. 01

Compare each row’s type, description, quantity together with its unit, and line amount with the matching issued estimate and tender documents.

  2. 02

Sort or filter the CSV in your spreadsheet to group measured and scope rows and reconcile descriptions, quantities and amounts against the same issue.

  3. 03

Flag provisional scope, its recorded reason and any missing values for clarification before finalising your bid.

Use the corresponding issued estimate for its total and full commercial context. The CSV is a line-item review aid; it does not replace the issued estimate.

For revision dates and issue history, see the issued estimate revisions guide.
